I'm Li Solaiman, nineteen running - oh God - twenty, the humble owner of this blog. I aspire to become a philanthropist and a multi-hyphenate, but for the meantime, I study drugs. I like to believe I live an interesting life, hence the journal. I take it you're bored since you happen to be reading a journal as self-centered as this. It would be nice to put up a fashion blog, but sad as it is, I don't have the right body and right wardrobe for it. Ha! That's fine because as people would have it, my whirlwind life is way too amusing not to be shared online. I couldn't agree more.
Like my dad, I like to stay in coffee shops. Like my mom, I firmly believe in the benefits of retail therapy. One way of nurturing my brain cells is reading. I read any kind of materials from textbooks, magazines, novels to pdf files and street signs or print ads even. I follow a straightedge lifestyle; I don't drink, smoke, f*ck or do drugs. But don't get me wrong, I'm no saint either because for one thing, I'm a Muslim but you don't see me wearing veil (I hope I don't get judged solely for that though).
For me, silence is frustrating - explains why my earphones are (almost) always plugged in my ears. I listen to R&B, A capella, Acoustic, Country, Alternative rock, Punk and anything pop. Or some really good ambient music when I'm studying or doing yoga. I'm also very particular with the lyrics. When I'm not listening to my playlist, I catch up on the new episodes or reruns of my favorite tv shows - Victorious, Cake Boss, Friends, Grey's Anatomy, Charmed, Drake and Josh ... I can go on. My life doesn't revolve solely on media, if that's what you're thinking; It also revolves around food and food and did I just say food? On a totally different note, I'd like to live in a trailer - a pink one! Just saying.
There's more to me than just the person who posts the most random videos on Youtube, commits bloopers after another, knows a thing or two about Adobe, gets spotted frequently in coffee shops and invests on cosmetics too much. Did you know I cry when I get goosebumps? Did you know my right ear is slightly bigger than the other? Did you know my heart painfully throbs to house music? My mind is oozing with ideas and stories to tell and I have to get them out, otherwise it would burst I'm afraid, hence the - you guessed it -journal.
